Australians paying their electricity bills for the first time since the price hike on 1 July 09 are in for a bit of a surprise with electricity bills up by as much as 20%, on top the already big increases introduced in July last year.

Officially the insulation rebate is to continue until Dec 2011 however with Government having already made many changes to the program since it started on 1st July, including a reduction in the rebate from initially $1600 to $1200 - it best to act now!
